My name is Woody Sankey; sharing the outdoors with others is a passion of mine.  A few years back I wanted to make sure that I gave back to my community.  I decided to try and take a few kids from my area out with me to experience all that there is in the outdoors.  I took out some kids and the more I did the more we wanted to continue.  I started looking for ways to grow the idea and in that Simply Outdoor Experiences was formed.  We have since worked with many different organizations.  Each time we do a event we find that the needs are far greater then we had imagined.  We are so excited to now have events that are 4-5 years in the running and there is no slowing down in sight. I am certified as an outdoor youth mentor through the State of MN Dept of Natural Resources.

The best present is a gift that can create positive experiences and joy for years to come.  I get the most joy out of seeing someone learn something for the first time; knowing it has just changed their lives. I was taken out hunting, fishing, hiking & camping by friends of my parents; since that was not something that they enjoyed doing. Since that gift was bestowed upon me I found that I have a passion to help kids that are like I was. I believe that there is something magical about being in the outdoors. It creates lifelong friendships and memories.
